Elvira, una chica veinteañera, tan guapa como insegura, coincide con sus hermanas, Jimena y Sol, en casa de su madre, una célebre pianista separada del padre de sus hijas hace años. Una vez en casa, la madre comunica a sus hijas que está enamorada y que tiene una relación con una persona, pero la alegría se tornará sorpresa cuando descubren que se trata de una mujer. 

Las hermanas intentan reaccionar como mujeres modernas que son, pero Elvira se sume en una tremenda crisis de identidad sexual. Además, las hermanas conspirarán para intentar separar a su madre de su novia, pero la aventura acabará de la forma que menos podían imaginar.

The secret life of Daphne du Maurier

 Daphne du Maurier is one of my favourite authors. I love her book titles Rebecca, it's such and amazing work!Just like  Don't look now (which contains short stories) and The birds. I would like to read more from her!

The other reason why she is close to my heart, is because she had the "venetian tendencies". It was her code for the L people. She was in love with her publisher's wife, Ellen Doubleday and she had an affair with the amazing Gertrude Lawrence. The movie Daphne focuses on these two relationships.

Síííí, una otra mujer madura!Isn't she pretty?Yes,yes she is! For the first time i saw her in Married life. Then in Cairo Time. And then in this and then in that...For me her best role was in High Art where she oh la la kissed a girl! And i could see her on the big screen too, when i watched Friends with benefits in the cinema. And i can tell that she gets more beautiful with time! But let the pictures prove it!

Bonjour mes visiteurs,

It's time to return to the world of amazing movies and beautiful women!For starting, i'm presenting a series which i started to watch not long ago and sadly i've already finished it. Voilá, that's Spartacus! This series has two seasons, the first is Blood and sand (2010). The story tells about Spartacus, who (after some unfortunate events) becomes a slave and then a gladiator. This world is cruel and knows no mercy. The only aim of Spartacus is r-e-v-e-n-g-e on the house of Batiatus and everybody who lives in it (they own the ludus, the training school of gladiators). The series is full with fights, blood, love AND beautiful women of course. So let's turn our heads to the most beautiful characters. Lucy Lawless (best known for Xena, series of my childhood) plays the domina of the house Batiatus.

In the first season Lucretia has a beautiful and dangerous friend, Ilithya (played by Viva Bianca) The two women use each other for their own purpuses and this leads to a tragic end.

The second season, The gods of the arena (2011) tells the story of the raising of house Batiatus, it tells what happened before Blood and sand. Unfortunately this season counts only 6 parts, but it's as amazing as the first season, and i tell you the reason: Gaia (played by Jaime Murray). She appears in the very first episode, as an old friend of Lucretia. The two women are delirious of the reunion. They share something very special...

El amor entre mujeres

Amar en tiempos revueltos. Loving in difficult times. My new favourite spanish series. It has 6 season and in the 4th and the 5th two women are in the focus, Ana and Teresa. They are working together in a shop and their relationship slowly moves to a higher level. They are in a difficult situation as Teresa is married and anyway this kind of love was not really accepted in the '50, when their story begins. The actreses are really pretty and it's great to see how they fall for each other...

El amor en los tiempos del cólera

Cuánto tiempo esperarías el amor de tu vída? How long would you wait for the love of your life?

Marquez's novel is a masterpiece. It's always a big responsibility to make a film from a worldwide famous book.And that's also true that probably no any film can give back the exact atmosphere of Marquez's books.Even knowing all that, i enjoyed this film. I read the book a long time ago so i couldn't make a strictly compare the novel and film. I liked the dresses, the dialoges, and most of all the leading actor Javier Bardem (plays Florentino) and the leading actress Giovanna Mezzogiorno (plays Fermina). She is a really pretty actress, as you can see on the pictures.

Finally together

Florentino and Fermina waited a lifetime to be together, to find each other. Did it worth?Maybe i am a helpless romantic but the answer is yes.

It's time to post some snapshots from Gavilanes, i haven't done that in a while. However i'm watching already the second season.And i stucked with the pics somewhere at 4th episode from the first season. Of course the pictures are about the amazing Carme Elías! Her character, Sofía Cortés has many difficulties, argues with her daughters, problems in love life. Or maybe the problem is that she doesn't have love life? That definitely will change in the second season...But don't rush too much further. Let's see the pictures.
